Publishers and authors often send me their books to review here and elsewhere on the web. I am not paid to do this. Other than with a copy of the book, of course. If I am reviewing a book I received this way, the disclosure will contain a statement indicating from whom I received the book. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255: “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.”
I am an affiliate.
When a post or page contains affiliate links, you’ll see the following disclosure:
Disclosure: This post contains affiliate links…
What does that mean?
. . . I am an affiliate with various companies and advertisers, including (but not limited to) Amazon. When you click on a book link I share, I may receive a small commission of your purchase (however, my content is not influenced in any way by the advertisers or affiliate relationships). This doesn’t cost you anything. But your views, click-throughs, and purchases help support this blog. Thank you! (Want to do more? Make your Amazon purchases through the search box in my sidebar.) I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s16 CFR, Part 255: “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.”
Book Review Policy:
* I only review Christian books with clean, God-honoring content––nothing that contains profanity, graphic violence, and erotica (or anything similar), please. I do not feel comfortable reviewing/promoting any book that contains the use of magic or anything related (i.e. elves, dwarves) to convey a Biblical message. * I generally do not accept books from self-published authors. * My preferred format is a physical ARC (paperback); however, I also accept eBooks (preferably PDF) that are compatible with my Kindle. * I also prefer audiobooks! * It may take me anywhere from a month to three months to post a review, due to my busy schedule. * I will always give a honest and professional review of all materials I review on this blog.
Approximately 95% of the review requests I receive are for books that do not meet my review criteria. Because I receive several of these emails a day, and because I cannot accept every book offered for review, I cannot always take the time to respond with "no thank you." If you do not receive a response by email within two weeks, you can conclude that the request does not respect my review policy or I have declined the request.
Giveaway terms & Conditions:
These are usually hosted for people in the United States. If a giveaway I am hosting is available to those outside the USA, I will be sure to specify in that post. But if it is not mentioned, you can assume that it is for those residing in the USA. You must be a follower of my blog, Christian Book Review Blog, in order to qualify to win a giveaway. I will normally email my winners within a week of the giveaway closing. They have 2 weeks to contact me back with their information in order to claim their prize. If I don't hear from the selected winners by that date, I will pick another winner and contact them. I don't announce winners on my blog, but I do announce it on the Rafflecopter giveaway form, so you are welcome to check those after the giveaway date has ended to see who won the giveaway.
